At the end of November 2023, Chabé opened its doors and committed to offering people with disabilities the opportunity to form a duo with a volunteer employee from the family business.
The aim? Share, exchange and, above all, offer a concrete immersion in the professional world within our company.
DuoDay isn’t just about professional discovery, it’s a human experience, a time for sharing where barriers are broken down and everyone’s skills are showcased.
For Chabé, it’s an opportunity to contribute to the emergence of new aspirations. A number of our employees gave us feedback on this exchange:
Lucie Davieaud, Head of Communication & Marketing : « For several years now, Chabé has been strengthening its CSR commitment by raising awareness among its employees, so the DuoDay was a logical extension of our actions. I was lucky to welcome Fiona to show her the job of communications for 1 day. It was quite intense and we both learnt a lot from the day. I can’t wait to take part in next year’s event, and to motivate my colleagues to do the same.”
Claire Lemaire, Communications & Marketing Project Manager: « Taking part in DuoDay was an enriching experience for me. Thanks to the sharing and human connection, I loved every moment of it. It’s gratifying to see how our exchanges create bonds, paving the way towards a more inclusive and welcoming society for all. »
Virginie Medrano, Administrative Assistant: « It was an emotional day with Hugo, a bit special I must admit. It enabled me to appreciate just how lucky we are to be integrated into society and a professional environment, and helped Hugo to think about his future career.
That’s why, and in order to give other people with disabilities some hope of integration, I’m looking forward to the next DuoDay. »
Flora Chaise, CSR Manager: « DuoDay is an opportunity for concrete exchange, helping us to overcome prejudices and project ourselves together towards a more inclusive world. The feedback from the pairs has all been positive, and we hope to repeat the experience on a larger scale next year.”
Chabé is proud to contribute to this noble cause and to support the DuoDay project. Together, we’re working towards a society where professional opportunities are accessible to all, where diversity is valued and talent is not limited by barriers.
